Tallis J & F published in London 'Masonic Hall, Broadway N.Y.' Highly decorative though little damaged print of the Old Masonic Hall in New York USA. Quaint rural scene with passers by. Two small vignettes show 'Dongan's Treaty with the Five Nations 1684' depicting red American Indians and 'Slaughter at Achenectady 1690'. Colour print somewhat soiled and tear damage to side and base. Suitable for framing. Price reflects condition. 185mm x 270mm

Pugin & Thomas Rowlandson (1756-1827) , (drawn and engraved by) Stadler (aquatint) Freemasons Hall Great Queen Street Published 1st October 1808 at R. Ackermann's Repository of Arts depicting Chevalier Bartholomew Ruspini (1728-1813) holding two young girls from the Institution he founded by their hands. Present are H R H the Prince of Wales, Grand Master, Earl of Moira, Ottoman Ambassador to England Ussuf Aguiah Efendi, Lord Mayor of London Sir John Eamer and General William Augustus Bowles (1763-1805) Cherokee Chief. London. General foxing and light damage repaired to lower margin. Generally very good condition suitable for framing. 340mm x 272mm.


NOTE This is the 1808 Rowlandson aquatint fullscap version of The Freemasons' Charity Children Being Presented To The Trustees And Governors On Their Anniversary At Freemasons' Hall' 1st edition of which by Brother Francesco Bartolozzi is dated 1st June 1802.
