China Government of the Chinese Republic Chinese Government 8% Sterling 10-Year Sterling Treasury Notes 1925/1929. Treasury Note for £100 Sterling dated 1st October 1919. Known as the Vickers Loan. Funds raised enabled the Chinese to purchase armaments from Vickers. Extended sheet of all Coupons but 10 (of 83) missing as two last rows. Attractive steel engraved vignette and red tax stamp seal. Manuscript signature of S Mathews. General light soiling along edges otherwise excellent condition.

1919: Chinese Government 8 % 10 Year Sterling Treasury Note. The Vickers Loan. 1919: Chinese Government 8% Sterling Treasury Note for £1000, 1919, known as the Vickers Loan. The money raised was to enable the Imperial Chinese Government to purchase armaments from Vickers company. This on has the number 10057 and lists as Kuhlmann # 502. Only 520 have been issued. Hard to find item with large sheet of coupons and in very fine condition.

China 'Compagnie Generale de Chemins De Fer Et De Tramways En Chine' Share certificate for 250 Francs to Bearer with two rows of coupons attached. Manuscript signatures hole cancelled. Issued and printed in Brussels Belgium. Over stamped and dated 24 June 1920. In excellent condition EF or better. 370mm x 365mm with coupons. The Company created by Baron Edouard Empain (1852-1929) of Belgium, who founded the "Empain Bank" and the "Compagnie Générale des Tramways'. He designed, built and maintained the Paris Subway and the railroads of China and of Congo, among others.
