Perlier (engraver) 'Carte des Deserts de la Basse Thebaide (lower North Egypt) aux environs des Monasteres des Antoine et de St Paul Hermites . . .' published and dated Cairo 1717 in three sections. Body of map shows Red sea with detail to the North West including Cairo. Top right section is 'Plan du Monastere de St Antoine' and below a figure of a Coptic priest and a plan of the St Paul Monasteries with Mount Colzim in the background. Uncoloured lightly soiled. Cropped top left margin does not affect the printed surface. Interesting and attractive. 480mm x 350mm
