&c. published according to Act of Parliament by Alexander Hogg (fl.1778-1805). Soiled page with worn margins light tears. In frameable condition.

Longmale Engraver Untitled fullscap sheet from Alexander Hogg's Volume c 1778 depicting banners and flags with the motto Pax Quaeritur Bello which translates Peace is sought through war and other statements. Designs show emblems of Royalty including the Lion Rampamt. Soiled and foxed page with some light damage to borders, In good frameable condition. 393mm x 275mm

07231. Albert Durer Heraldry
Germany copper plate print c1850 of Heraldic devise by Albert Durer. Coat of arms design with cock standing on helmet below which is a lion rampant surrounded by foliage. Initials AD monogram of the famed artist at base. Plate mark prominent 135mm x 205mm sheet size with margins 215mm x 309mm. Some light foxing generally in excellent condition with wide margins.
NOTE: Albert Durer (1471-1528) Nuremburg painter and engraver in the Flemish school and the German gothic tradition assimilating in his work the artistic and theoretical fundamentals of the Italian Renaissance.
