As New NOTE: The new Luriatic Tarot is based on the Hebrew Kabala, most especially the Etz ha-ayim, or Tree of Life. One major difference in the Lurianic Tarot is the order of the Major Arcana, or trump cards which is different from the order found in most decks today. The Etz ha-ayim is a decidedly Hebrew construct, and it has no recognisable analogue in Latin, Greek, or English mystical systems. The Minor Arcana have four suits: The Staff (equivalent to the Wands in a standard Tarot) represents the phallic principle, the Graal (Cups) represents an archetypal feminine concept, the Blade (Swords) reflects the pragmatic application of the phallic energy of Volition in the Staff Suit and the Seal (Pentacles or coins) reflects the pragmatic application of the energy of Fecundity in the Graal Suit, translated as 'Matrix'. Each of the four suits possesses one premier card, typifying the Root Power of the suit.
