10481. 8 sided Put & Take top 1900
More uncommon 8 sided top, or spinning top, that can be spun on its axis. 'Put & Take' game made from brass 28mm high. Six of the sides indicated by a T1 to T3 (take) and a P1 to P3 (put) and TA and AP on the two remaining sides. Soiled in very good condition. The gambling game was popular from 1860s to 1940's. If the top landed P1, P2 or P3, loser would put 1, 2 or 3 chips into the pot. If AP "All Put" loser would match the pot and win if opposite.
