Anon Port Moresby - South Coast of New Guinea Original c1890 colour litho print of the capital City of of Papua New Guinea, located on the shores of the Gulf of Papua, on the southeastern coast of the island of New Guinea. It was first sighted by a in 1873 by Captain John Moresby (1830-1922) a British Naval Officer who explored the New Guinea coast. It was named in honour of his father Admiral Sir Fairfax Moresby. Good clean condition and attractive. 266mm x 175mm.
