08061. ITALY Political Playing Cards 1979 Italy Arnoldo Mondadori Panorama Political Playing Cards (1979) printed by Windmill Playing Cards (Hong Kong). Produced by the weekly Italian magazine Panorama. Playing Cards were given away over a four week period, one suit a week. The court cards are cartoons by the famed Italian artist and caricaturist Alfredo Chiappori (1943-), of the leading Industrialists, Politicians, Members of the Judiciary and Church, including: Giulio Andreotti (KH) and Gianni Agnelli (KD). NOTE: The original Joker was intended to be Moro. He was unfortunately assassinated in May1978 by the Red Brigade thus instead Craxi was made the Joker.
