Knife money. Primitive Currency used in China from period extending to 1125 BC. This example 19th Century thin in shape of knife known as '
Ming Tao'
derives from earlier examples in bronze known as '
Chi Tao'
and also named
'Razor'
or '
Sword'
money. Probable 19th century counterfeit as patina appears to be added. Nonetheless collectable and correctly priced. Good condition. 135mm

'Manilla'
primitive currency item. Recovered from water and thus signs of deterioration. Standard shape with opening flat ends. 60mm wide and 60mm high. 70 grms in weight. Early c1900.

Total 40 circular terra cotta stones many in pairs with central hole joined with string. Original use a spinning/weaving spindles (?). Purchased in Lima Peru. Probable use as primitive currency (similar to beads joined together). Appears 19th century. Good condition. Total length 50 cm individual beads 15mm to 35mm diameter
