Turkey Ottoman Official Edict in Turkish language Arabic Script c1878. 26 decorative scripted calligraphic lines headed with embossed seal with laurel of leaves and printed Arabic text and stamped formal seal attesting to the official nature of the document. At base manuscript signatures and seals superimposed on tax stamp depicting the Sultan's Tughra. Reverse two tax stamps with signed endorsements in manuscript. Philatelic stamps for 20 Para depict the Tuhgra of the Sultan Abdul Hamid II dating the document to c1878 Large document with extensive margins. Usual folds with natural light soiling generally in excellent condition. Turkey 507mm x 764mm.
