Italy Trieste A. Mengotti Preference c1900 Complete 32 cards with fold over reverse design of Mercury. Used deck damage to One of Sticks (Bastone) otherwise in good condition. Italian proverbs on the 'Aces' Ones state: Molte Volte Le Giuocate Vann Finire Abastonate and Sword says Il Giuoci della Spada a Molti Non Aggrada. NOTE Preference is played with 32 cards: the A, K, Q, J, 10, 9, 8 and 7s and is a three player card game from Europe, similar to bridge, euchre, and five-hundred. The rules and scoring vary slightly, according to local custom. The cards are dealt two at a time to each player face down, with two cards dealt face down to form the widow.
